I am interested in buying a circut, what are the cartridges? What are they? Should I buy? Need a special role? Please help!

The cartridges of different types of images and fonts you can cut with the Cricut machine. All cartridges have a different theme. There are All Kinds of scripts and photos for things like weddings, Christmas, anniversaries, etc. You'll have to buy cartridges, for say the Cricut for cutting, and without them, just a big paperweight. You do not need special paper. You can use any regular Card Stock, Scrapbook Paper, printer paper or white, even if you wish. You have to reduce the size of your Cricut Cutting mat, or less if you're cutting a smaller image, and paste it on. The carpet is sticky to hold the paper in place, but the role does not hurt or anything. You connect the cartridge and place the carpet on the keyboard that comes with the cartridge in the keys. You feed support the cut with their role in it and what key you want to cut and Cricut work magic cup. It's fun and there are so many uses it. I recommend it.
