What a goose biot feathers?

Where is the pen (s) located? diagrams? without help

Here we go: "A Biot's just a single strand of the head, or before, the edge of a primary (first row) of the wing feathers. In the pen, the biota off against each other, leaning toward the wing tip. This allows air to pass over them and the flow against the fibers in the back of the pen, which are longer, narrower and more delicate, tender lift for flight. This is similar to an airplane wing ... broad, blunt at the front tapers toward the rear. It's easy to tell biota of the fibers back because they are shorter, more rigid, and get closer to the mother pen. Http: / / www.invictaflies.us / News / all_about_biots.htm
