Identify big black bird-head gray and green high heels?

I went to see that my cat had killed a bird, but I've never seen a and birds. (I'm in Fort Worth, Texas). The bird is the business of football (the size of a pigeon) and gray with a black head. It has white under the tail. It's feet color are beautiful, near the lime-green with a little blue. It has a triangle pointing to the nozzle (not curved) with a hole in the top. Is it some thing?
