I Estates General Liberal Arts Major (now), and will need at least one program my English papers. I have the intention transferred to a university to be a great movie. I have a desktop Mac (for repair), and a desktop PC (in a room with my brother). A computer laptop would be perfect for my English class. ... This professional notebook PC: ideal for English courses and low price: only good for short term can be shipped with Vista (I heard a shit) Mac Pro laptop: the transfer of long-term good Final Cut Pro files, comes with a free iPod With: most expensive elsewhere, the iPod is the iPod Touch for free.

I would go for the Mac of your beloved, but his best in this sitiuation

Telecine Without Tears - Film to Video the Cardboard Way

Telecine Without Tears

Video Movie Box Way

Put video movies film and DVD can cost if done professionally. And if you use a laboratory accredited, the results may vary, and the risk of losing or damaging your film. It is relatively easy to do your own telecine transfers. And the quality can be impressive. Here's how.

What you need

A video camera, a film projector that has a variable speed constant, and a piece of cardboard of good quality! A problem a lot cheaper than a translucent screen telecine and better, probably without grain or Hot Spot.

Getting the right speed

You can use a projector with variable pitch speed, but more likely you will notice the fluctuations of light in the video image. Yet there has nothing to lose by giving an example, and the projector can be more or less the right speed, regardless of what he said! However, it is preferable power to vary the speed of projection if you want to ensure a constant density. The speed must be very close to 16.66 fps or 25 fps per second. That is if you have the power grid of 50 cycles. In the United States is 60 cycles, so that the speed should be 15, 20 or 24 fps so you must first decide what speed the film was taken. silent films are generally shot at 16 or 18 fps film was shot at top speed: 16, 18, 24 or 25. If you are not certain, that the screening of the film and see if people move normally. In practice, really not look bad if the movie was filmed at 18 frames per second and say that their project to 16.66 fps and 24 looks exactly the same as 25. How the sound is a different issue, but more on that later. Choose your transfer speed closer to the original speed of the film.

Improving Image

It is perfectly logical to start with the best image quality. Instead of projecting an image on a wide screen, we found a piece of white cardboard good few inches wide, certainly not more than a foot and emphasis of the projector that. If the film material is quite mixed, try using a cream colored card. Another way to reduce the contrast is introduced into the chamber a little ambient light. Results projector in a very evenly lit. Normally, your eyes adjust to a film frame is perhaps brighter in the center, but the performance in banks. But the eye of the camera sees what he sees, and therefore the image will be strange. Previous conventional tungsten lighting projectors and condenser lenses, tend to place the spotlight, even halogen lighting without capacitors. If your projector provides an uneven lighting, try a wash of gray water, color in the center of the map, smoothing the edges. Or, in front of the video camera or a projector using a piece of fiberglass filter has darkened in the middle. The projector must be set to zoom on a long lens. You can also use a fixed focus lens. If you plan to use a test 8mm projector lens 16 mm 35 mm or even say the focal length of 50 mm. Now .... as they show a small image with lots of light .... Make black card or paper "puck" that fits in the end the mount of the projector lens. It must be right against the front lens. Do not make a hole in the washer too small, but effective enough to close the lens down a couple of f-stop. This will give a qualitative leap in the definition! Why? Because it's like a camera lens .... Sharpness is improved when the outer parts of the lens is not used. All targets are more effective when they stopped below. In a normal size image of the screen is fairly small, of course, but it is bright enough in our Scoreboard.

Transfer

So now, hopefully, have a good strong image that displays evenly lit movie theater at its best. Before the transfer, it's a good idea to thoroughly clean the film with the film special cleaning, if needed, or at least remove the dust with a damp sweet. camcorder power somewhere near the axis of the projector, perhaps just behind or above. If in addition, be careful with heat wave lamp-house! The objective the camera is in a position of long focal length, so that the project meets the viewfinder image. Manually focus on some news media in its fight against the card and keep this adjustment to focus on actual transfer. Key-stoning of the image should not be a problem that is far from the small screen. When you are satisfied that the framework and perfect focus, turn off the lights and start the transfer. Ideally, the camera should show manually define an opening for the whole film. Examine the results on a video screen big enough. If you still see fluctuations in density speed to adjust the projector and try again. With the end of care with a good telecine, acute, which seems to work.

Its

If the film has a soundtrack, you can connect the projector sound of the video camera and record in sync. How to do to get good background in the video is beyond the scope of this blog. However, the return to the projector running speed ..... Although our eyes are easily fooled by a speed a little sick, is usually our ears! A soundtrack recorded at 18 fps, for example, the sound most likely 16.66 fps bad if you can be better to transfer the sound regardless of the computer, then put the track in the video, which makes synchronization settings if necessary. Maybe the other comment ....
