What type of stamps should I use when making cards?

I've been looking at hobbylobby.com and I see so many types to choose from! I'm also curious as to how to stamp without getting the ink from the sides of the stamp on the card. Are there any stamps that have higher raised words so that it's not so difficult to make it look nice? As you can see, I am new to this, but I enjoy playing around with cardmaking! The types of stamps I'm seeing the most are rubber, clear, and unmounted.
about the unmounted and clear stamps... I'm a little confused about how you use them or what do you mount them to so that they're usable? Sounds silly, I'm sure, but I'm learning! 🙂

I prefer wood mounted rubber stamps, but that's probably because I've been using them so long. I can't seem to get a clear image with the clear stamps, no pun intended.

If you're getting ink on the sides, you're pressing the stamp into the ink pad too far. Try lightly pressing a few times, then look at it before you stamp. Is there ink on the edges of the rubber? Use a paper towel or baby wipe to get it off. The baby wipe should be the non-alcohol kind, but I use whatever is around. I wash my wood stamps in the sink with dish detergent too, and it's never hurt them.

Cheap stamps tend to be harder to use, although I have a wonderful snowman I got for $1 at Michael's. The best stamps in my opinion are Stampin' UP. Check out their website. Get decent ink too. Again, I like Stampin' UP, but Ancient Page is really good and inexpensive. You can use the little pads by pressing the ink on the stamp rather than the other way around. You can also use a marker right on the stamp instead of ink.

The Angel Company Business Review - Scrapbooking To Financial Freedom

Do you want to become an angel? Creativity, artistic flair and the skills to make money out of your imagination! Mischelle Smith, the founder of The Angel Company was a demonstrator for another direct selling company that dealt with rubber stamping.

The Angel Merchandise

First established to sell rubber stamps, TAC started dealing with scrapbooks, papercrafters and special paper for crafts. The scrapbook business was very successful because it was introduced at a time when there was a craze for the hobby. However, these products are not available in shops.

After launching its unmounted stamping system in 1999, TAC expanded to reach 48 states in US and has offices in Alaska, Hawaii and several other cities.

Here's a honest review of the Angel Income Opportunity-

Advantages Of Being An Angel Distributor

· The products of TAC offer a refreshing change from the routine electronic cards we send or receive. Using personalized rubber stamps and designing scrap books with care give a special touch to gifts and is sure to be accepted by lots of people; especially creative minded people who like to design their own gifts.

· Commissions are decent; ranging between 21% and 30% on sales and up to 6.5% on downline sales. Distributors also get a rebate of up to 30% on products they want to buy.

· When you host a funshop, you could get up to 50% off on the cost of Angel products.

· TAC offers training and support through Wing Workshops organized by existing demonstrators.

Disadvantages of Angel Company

· This is the kind of product that could be sold only to people who are really interested. People who have busy lifestyles won’t have much time for creativity and it’d be useless to try to sell to them. The products are also not going to have much of an effect on people who’d rather send an electronic card than take efforts to create a card by themselves.

· When product prices are low, income through commission's also low unless your volume of sales is very high.

· A lot of emphasis is given to selling through funshops. You'll find that the volume of sales generated through these get-togethers cannot justify the cost, time and effort spent.

To Sum Up

The Angel Company is virtually unknown; you wouldn’t have heard about the company until an angel visited you. Use this to your advantage and earn money as an angel distributor by marketing your products. All you need to do is promote your products through the net and make people aware of this business. You have a definite target market and when you direct your marketing towards this group, you're sure to get a lot of business.

Using the right marketing techniques is very important; you need to know the best ways to generate leads and establish contacts with interested customers. With the right approach, your Angel business is sure to prosper.
